About the Journal

Global Sociological Review (GSR) was introduced by Humanity Only (HO) through the research project sponsored and guided by Humanity Research Council (HRC) — a sub-body of Humanity Development Council (HDS). GSR intends to promote qualitative and quantitative researches and findings with the help of newly emerging tools and patterns utilized in experiments, observations, interviews, analysis and surveys by encircling all major segments of sociological studies and academic and research disciplines. GSR is a quarterly, double-blind peer-reviewed research journal which encompasses major disciplines of sociological studies i.e. Government & Politics, Human & Society, Historical & Regional Studies and Education & Mass Studies in general with a specific interest in the sub-disciplines detailed at  www.gsrjournal.com.

Mission & Vision

GSR struggles for a future where human development is based on an informed decision-making process. Therefore, the journal challenges the status quo of current academic research that suffers from disconnect to actual application by finding a solution to the problems confronted by humanity. GSR intends to become the global leader in the introduction of innovations where theories connect with the application while maintaining the best features of theoretical and applied aspects.

Objectives & Focus

GSR promotes:

  • Advancement of research in all sectors of sociological studies
  • High-quality publications in theoretical and empirical researches
  • Networking of academicians, researchers and professionals encourage different genres in creative and research writing
  • Enhancement of diversity, multiplicity and variation of the research on society in general

GSR covers inter-disciplinary issues and problems of sociological studies in its classical sense. Therefore, it welcomes articles covering sociological studies.

GSR adheres to the highest value in research. It appreciates objectivity in the articles submitted for publication. Instead of assuming the values of objectivity, neutrality, originality, diversity of opinion, contribution to knowledge, the strength of argument, avoidance of fallacies, truth and honesty as cliché, GSR has incorporated these values in the process of selection and review.

Publication Frequency:
According to the Humanity Only (HO) trustee Board recommendation, GSR was initially published on Annual base-one issue per year. But due to the on-and-on requests of the national academia, the aforementioned board revise its recommendation for 2020 and onwards i.e. the frequency has been changed from annual to quarterly (four issues per year) having the following breakup:

Peer Review:
GSR is managing and evaluating all the research articles, papers and cases by “Double-Blind Peer Review” exclusively.  GSR uses triple-blind review, which means that the reviewer, editor and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, editor and vice versa, throughout the review process.

GSR has a comprehensive process of evaluation as it follows triple-blind peer review wherein after preliminary assessment (or Pre-Editorial Review) of an article by the Managing and Assistant Managing Editor(s), the same is reviewed by another internal Committee (known as an Editorial Review Committee) comprising the GSR Editor, Associate Editor(s)and Assistant Editor(s). However, selected members of the Advisory Board of GSR covering a subject area of the article are also consulted during the internal review process and after recommendations of the Editorial Review Committee, the article goes through a cycle of final evaluation i.e. review by relevant National and International peer reviewers.
